Kate Ryan was born and raised in Philadelphia. In 2011, she graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in painting. While at MICA, she exhibited extensively in on-campus exhibitions as well as at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. In the fall of 2009, she studied and showed in Florence, Italy at Studio Art Centers International. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana from 2011-2013 where she has exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Center, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the St. Tammany Art Association. Kate relocated to New York City to attend Pratt Institute, where she received a Masters of Science degree in Art History. She currently lives in the Bronx, and maintains a studio in Long Island City.
